FAQ

  • Is this suitable for my dog?
These days are best suited to those who would enjoy the company of a small group of like-minded dogs that don’t display aggressive behaviour towards others. We are fully fenced, however the fence is only there as a boundary. If your dog is an excessive digger or is a known escape artist who likes take off exploring on their own, this is not the place for them. All dogs must be fully vaccinated to attend and keep up to date with regular worming and flea and tick treatments.
  • What age can they attend?
As much as I am an absolute sucker for a puppy....your dog MUST be 12 months or older to attend. This is in your dogs best interest. Over exercising and mixing with fully grown dogs off leash, can be too much for a young dogs joints and ligaments, and this can cause detrimental long term problems. There are places who run specifically designed puppy playdates which would be more suitable.
  • Does my dog have to be desexed to attend?
All MALE dogs must be neutered to attend. Females who have not been desexed, must take some time out while they are on heat, to avoid any disruptions to the pack.
  • Transport?
All DDN pack members are collected and dropped home in our van, harnessed - (yours if suitable/ mine if not ) and clipped into either a specific seat or floor space with a bed for comfort.
  • How many dogs are on each adventure?
Numbers are kept small 6 -8 dogs per adventure. Having a small group enables plenty of personal attention for each pack member, and it’s not too overwhelming for those who struggle to be their ‘Best Self’ in a large group environment. Dogs are just like us, each one having a unique personality, some absolutely love and thrive in big groups, while others, prefer to just mingle with only a few select friends. Both are great options. However here at DDN we only provide a service for the latter.
  • Do you offer Dog Training?
No not as a service... but I reinforce basic obedience through-out the sessions. Although I have dog training experience, this is not what these days are about. I'm happy to offer you some advice if you are a client, or alternatively will point you in the direction of someone local who might best suit your needs as a trainer.
  • Do you operate weekends and public holidays?
Unfortunately ( for you 😉 ) DDN operates Monday - Thursday only. We are closed Weekends and Public Holiday's
